Atlas

Terms

Atlas is operated by The Bench. These terms apply when you use Atlas, its Envoy and the Atlas app. By using Atlas you agree to them. Our privacy notice explains how your information is used.

Using Atlas

You need to be 18 or older to use Atlas. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us at hello@jointhebench.co if you think someone else has used it.

What Atlas is, and isn’t

Atlas uses AI to help with your working life: finding work, people and organisations, drafting messages and keeping a record of what you choose. AI can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially facts about people, organisations, pay and dates. Atlas shows where its information came from so you can check it.

Atlas doesn’t give legal, financial, tax, medical or migration advice. Atlas isn’t a crisis or counselling service. If things feel too heavy, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Envoy, acting for you

Envoy contacts people and organisations only when you ask, and nothing is sent, and no call is made, without your yes to that exact message or call. Envoy always says it is an AI acting for you. On calls and in meetings it keeps notes, never audio. It calls only within calling hours in the other person’s time, and only numbers you give it or business numbers it is allowed to use. Every message offers a way to opt out, and when someone asks not to be contacted, no Envoy contacts them again.

What you approve is sent in your name, so you are responsible for it. Don’t ask Envoy to contact people in bulk, to send anything false, misleading or unlawful, or to contact anyone who has asked not to be contacted. We set daily limits on how many people Envoy contacts, and we may change them.

Your content

What you add to Atlas stays yours: your words, documents and record. You let us store and process it only to run Atlas for you, as the privacy notice describes. Only add material you are allowed to share. You can download or delete it from your account.

Connected accounts

If you connect Google or Microsoft, Atlas uses only the access you grant, for the purposes shown when you connect. You can disconnect at any time.

Fair use

Don’t use Atlas to break the law, to harass anyone, to collect personal information about people without a lawful reason, or to interfere with Atlas or other members. Don’t try to get around its limits, approvals or safety checks.

Payments

[Prices to be confirmed.] Payments are handled by Stripe. If you cancel, your plan ends at the end of the period you have paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time; the privacy notice explains what happens. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety stops us.

Our responsibility

Atlas comes with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded, and nothing in these terms takes them away. If Atlas fails one of those guarantees, you’re entitled to the remedies the law gives you.

Beyond those guarantees, and as far as the law allows:

Nothing here limits our responsibility for loss caused by our negligence, fraud or a breach of the privacy law, or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

Changes

We may update these terms as Atlas develops, and we will email you about important changes before they apply. You won’t be asked to agree again. These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Questions: hello@jointhebench.co. Updated 30 October 2026.
